Money can't buy happiness -- but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Corvette than in a Yugo.

WCC car show on a rainy day (10/04/2009)
Nice cars - ours and others

My homeowners association would love to have this in the neighborhood.
Gilmore Museum Caravan 09/12/2009

Last things first:  We took a cool Club portrait while there!

Fred organizes the shot on the Museum grounds.

The finished product.  (Feel free to download a copy!)

Starting from the BelMark Lanes in Ann Arbor,

we caravanned through some of the most beautiful scenery in mid Michigan.

The photos can't do it justice!  Not shown is the field near Munith with several dozen grazing Sandhill Cranes.

We enjoyed two carefully chosen rest stops

Near Onondaga.  The cat wanted to be adopted.

This store near Olivet was the second stop.

and finally arrived at the Gilmore Museum.

The attendees.

Lily came along, too.

Our tour leader.

We brought picnic lunches.

Back off, Buster, she's married.

It was Buick day.

Check out the '60 4-dr behemoth.

Some of the outstanding cars (in no particular order).

Windsor Corvette Club Show 06/14/09

Against considerable odds, our friends in Windsor pulled off an excellent
riverfront show (and previous night's party!).
By the way...
There are numerous photos of our crew on the Corvette Club of Windsor website.

Getting there is 8/17 of the fun.

Browsing, Shopping, Gambling, Eating and the Host Club Party
Dieppe Park was reserved for viewing the RedBull Air Races this year.

The show itself
In LaSalle at Gil Maure Park

They've been doing this for a while.  "Mr. Tomato" was there, handing our tomato juice.

Actually, America's Corvette Club didn't need space in this row.

Cleaning up our act.

Our cars.

Our folks.

Two overly serious members.

Two of our Canadian friends and some other Corvettes.

The turquoise C4 belongs to former member Bob Bourland.
He was last year's Best In Show with a different car.

We stop along the way for a break.

Arrival in Marshall and getting ready.

What it's like from the driver's seat.

Lilly missed the parade but made it in time for lunch.

Ypsi Street Rod Show 05/03/2009

Here are our cars (and thanks to Darius for adding his C5)

Special thanks to Jim R.

Jim's selfless act of driving through the above swamp
inspired the rest of us to avoid doing so.

Here are our cars individually:
In order below:  Fred, Paul, Gary, John G., Gordy, Clyde, Jim R., former member Don D., Darius, Linda L. and Jim K.

Here are some other Corvettes - sadly not ours.

The last car belongs to Craig W. who is now on our guest list!  Next to last is Bobby Smith's from Bob's Corvettes.

These are not Corvettes.  Kinda neat, though!

Ending with a real 2009 Camaro and the '34 Chev belonging to master builder Rod R.
