Money can't buy happiness -- but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Corvette than in a Yugo.

Our Annual Christmas Party (12/12/2009)

Getting set up.

Business, Awards, Election results, Comments from the peanut gallery.

Most of us.

Gift exchange.

You would have had to have been there!

Thanks to Bob, LuAnn, Stu and Pat and all the volunteers!!

Mancy's Bluewater Grill in Maumee (11/22/2009)
Yes!! We squeezed in one more.

Lunch Run to Port Stanley, ON (11/07/2009)
Not really a scheduled Club event, but the weather forecasts were just too good not to try for a day trip.

Gathering.

Into Canada.

Citing NCCC rules and the WEBELOS Scout manual, the caravan leader travelled at the speed limit
the whole way.  This garnered hand gestures of appreciation from the natives.

Port Stanley has a thriving fishing fleet.

The railroad still runs tourist junkets.

The Telegraph House.

Where we ate in The Pineapple Dining Room.

Lots of interesting stores and architecture.

Ruth points out the sights.  The little building is a kiln where fishermen dried their net floats in the old days.

The Kettle Creek Inn is also a good place to stay.

And, of course, we ate!

In this shot of the port, you can see the Telegraph House left of center.  Can you spot Tom and Maddy's car?

Fall outing at Harold and Betty's (10/03/2009)

Gathering for the caravan.

Ruth prays (successfully) for good weather.

On the road.

Passing cars obviously going the wrong way.

Yes, we drive on dirt!

Arrival.

I'm a lonely little petunia in an onion patch.....
Where are all the other Corvettes?

Food and drink

Not necessarily in that order.

Artist preparing objects of great beauty.

Stu claims his is still moving.

Great friends on a good day!

Harolds pride and joy (after Betty, of course).  Note the trailer hitch.
Our color tour to Frankenmuth (10/24/2009)
Drizzle for the caravan

Start (in Hamburg)
and end.

It was someone's birthday, too!!

A pretty little town.

Someone tipped them off!  Amazingly, we got top billing over Bing.

And, of course, we ate!

Hungry Wolf Supper Run 09/26/2009

Followed by a stop at Mickey's in Saline.

Police called to an accident just aft of our caravan.

 Main Street Stable 08/22/2009

Only a few photos.  (Too busy eating once inside!)

Passing through Britton.

See, we really are legal.

Zukey Lake Tavern 08/15/2009

Starting at Suburban Chevrolet...

Jim, it makes this sort of  'paketa-queep' sound.

...through Dexter...

...and arriving at Zukey Lake.

Meeting up with some more members.

This is a busy place!

Familiar territory (restaurant tables).

Maxing out the VISA

HVCC Annual Summer Picnic 07/26/2009

Dino's First HVCC Event.  Welcome!

Thanks to our chefs!

Th-th-th-that's all folks!
A dinner trip to the Dragon Court in Hamburg.
Start at Suburban Chevrolet.

A classic!

The road ahead, the road behind, the road along side and arrival.

Z06s have an aura.

Assembling for the grand entrance.

It wasn't loaded

Getting settled and checking the menu.

Happy Rocks

Where did it go?

We exit as the management breathes a sigh of relief.

Those not too full to walk leave the restaurant.

You put your right foot in.....

We head out to another adventure.  (Check out the Ice Cream Run page.)

Fat Fish Blue Trip

On April 18th, we gathered on the placid shores of scenic Gump Lake (in the ever lengthening shadows of the Milan Sewage Treatment Plant) for a caravan to Fat Fish Blue in Perrysburg, OH - our first caravan of 2009.

Rounding up the usual suspects

Ruth indicates that she has spotted a moose

Guests John and Karen and their (yet another) Blue Z06

Caravan down US-23

Good.  Nothing falling off the '64.                             We drive under the roadsigns for a better view

We arrive, park and enter.  Dale did not actually take the elevator.

For us, a typical scene

Ask a participant what these are for!

This is the "small" Carpetbagger dessert
