The HVCC will be caravaning to Fostoria, OH to see the Union Pacific Big Boy Locomotive on Tuesday July 14th. We will meet up in Saline at the Dafforn’s home (9388 Moon Rd.) anytime before 7:00 AM. We plan to leave as close to 7:00 AM as possible to be able to be there by or before 9:00 AM. The locomotive will be on static display from 9-3 for public viewing in Fostoria, OH. at the Automotive Distribution Center 3101 North Township Road 47. There is no admission charge to view the world’s largest steam locomotive. This is the first time it has been east of the Mississippi since it was manufactured. Don’t miss this once in a lifetime event! Join us for a day of fun club activities. We can find a place to have lunch on our way back if everyone would like to do that.

Classic car show all makes & models on the neighborhood streets of Chelsea This show is put on by Vickie K & The Chelsea Classic Cruisers Door prizes, 50/50 drawing, live band, art show Meet at the Chelsea Post Office 1101 S Main St @ 2:30pm leave for show at 2:45pm Rich Dafforn will be leading into the show Entry fee is $10 at the gate & is your responsibility

This will be the 4th annual Corvette/Fiero Fun Run. This year we will be going to Dow Gardens in Midland. We will be stopping at Balwin‘s Smoke House at 3316 E. Holland Rd., Saginaw for lunch with the MFC before heading over to the gardens. These botanical gardens feature annuals, perennials, bridges, water features and the historic Pines Home. The Canopy walk is the main attraction with a 1,400‘ long walkway over looking the gardens. You can stroll at your own leisurly pace to enjoy these scenic gardens. Admission is $15 for adults. A golf cart tour is available for $15 extra with up to 5 people per cart. Note: they only have one cart available, so book it early if you want this option. Make your own reservations for this golf cart tour starting at 2:00 PM by calling 989-631-2677. After visiting the gardens we can caravan back home together or individually as you wish. The HVCC will be meeting at the Meijer‘s at M-59 and US-23 (2160 Hartland Dr., Hartland, MI) at 9:00 AM. This is only about a 1/2 hour drive for most of us. Here we will have a rest room break and meet the Michigan Fiero Club for a meet & greet plus photo op. We will be leaving around 9:30 AM for Saginaw via back roads, not freeway. It is about a 1-1/2 hour drive on to Baldwin‘s in Saginaw. We will have about 1-1/2 hours for lunch then leaving around 12:30. We will then have a 1/2 hour drive on over to Dow Gardens. This should put us at Dow Gardens around 1:00.

We will get together for fun and fellowship! This year we will bring a dish and Kathy Agrusa is the chairman Kathy Agrusa is the chairman and she will put a list up closer to the time to sign up for foods. . We also will have brats/hamburgers and pop. This is a great time to getTo know everyone better??????

I would like to invite the HVCC members to show their cars at the Saline Summerfest Car Show. Free Entry. Prize Drawings. It would be great to have a wall of vettes there to have some impact, visibility and recruitment of future members.. Meet by 7:30 AM in front of my house 211 N Lewis Street, Saline 48176 To get there: - Turn West on W. Bennett Street off of N Ann Arbor St. - Turn South on North Lewis Street and line up on the West side of the street. - Please do not block my neighbors driveways, there is plenty of room for a lot of vettes. - At 7:30 AM we will proceed South on N Lewis St. to Russell Street. - Turn right on W.Russell St. - Take a quick left on N. Lewis zig zag. - Take a left on W. McKay Street. - Arrive at Registration located at the corner of W. McKay and N. Ann Arbor - There is no registration fee, but make sure you get your door prize ticket. - Proceed to assigned area and set up. - After setting up we will walk to Carrigan Cafe, 101 S Ann Arbor St, Ste 107 for coffee etc... - Show starts at 9:00 AM - Door prizes are given out between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Lots of places to eat/drink and enjoy music. Bring chairs and quick detailing supplies. - Obviously if it is pouring cats and dogs, it is canceled. - I need a count by Weds August 5th so I can reserve enough spots with the organizers.
